Just Watch It

This is really an amazing podcast; I've only been actually listening for about five or six hours, and I've honestly been listening to it for that full time. I used to get sucked into reading lots of Reddit, then discovered that I could have other people read it to me while I actually am productive in my own physical life. Who knew?

I had found a couple podcasts that I liked, and found yours by complete accident. I was specifically looking for a female hosted Reddit podcast, just a different flavor of female host than I've been listening to; while I enjoy listening to the women I listen to, I have realized how awkward it can be to watch other women try to police themselves and find that right way to express their opinion without over expressing their opinion (big shout out to internalized misogyny in western culture!). While I also enjoy podcasts with male hosts, it just makes me cringe sometimes listening to/watching men try to discuss some women's issues or stories and feel like we are entirely different species in that moment. No outright disrespect or misogyny, just a very loud and obvious disconnect and lack of understanding. I was looking for something hosted by a woman who would just give her opinion without so much caveating of said opinions.

The first episode of yours I accidentally watched was where a girl fills in for one of the boys (can't even tell you who or when and apologies if that offends anyone, but I really enjoyed her!). After double checking that Sean was not in fact a guy I know (I have known your doppelgänger for about a decade, by the way), I was enjoying the show. And honestly what ultimately struck me was that there's just a total lack of idiocy. Don't get me wrong, you guys can be stupid, but without the sense of a lot of the toxic attitudes and behaviors often present when men are being stupid. It doesn't feel like you are catching yourselves or policing yourselves or reminding yourselves how you're supposed to behave; you're just good guys who acknowledge their feelings, have some emotional intelligence and emotional baggage like everyone else, and aren't pretentious about it. Like normal people. Even when you're discussing horrible people and horrible things, you do so with incredible tact while still being average human beings.

Thank you for being empathetic, funny, stupid, thoughtful, kind and most of all genuine. It is very refreshing.
